Valentine’s Day Options in Downtown Lewisburg

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching – but no need to panic! Plan a quick trip to downtown Lewisburg and your mate will swoon over the thoughtful treasures that you bring home. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Hand-Dipped Chocolates and Sweet Treats
Purity Candy and Catherman’s both offer hand-dipped chocolates of all shapes and sizes – truffles, dipped nuts and barks, chocolate covered crèmes, and as an added treat this time of year, chocolate covered strawberries. If you only make one stop, this should be it. But we’d encourage you to stroll down Market Street to visit other shops; you’ll find lots of unexpected surprises.

Freshly Ground Coffee
Extrava Market and Cherry Alley Café both offer freshly roasted coffee for your java-loving partner. Extrava Market specializes in K Cups for Keurig coffee makers and Cherry Alley specializes in whole bean, freshly ground coffee. Both have other items to offer as well, including freshly made baked goods at the Café (including gluten free items!) and unique and distinctive dipping and cooking sauces at Extrava.

Flowers
Look no further than Stein’s. Their fresh bouquets are unique, fragrant, and offer a dazzling display of color during this time of year. They will work closely with you to choose the right colors, size, and type of bouquet for your special someone.

Upscale Jewelry and Watches
Wolf’s Jewelers in the middle of Market Street is the ideal place for dainty necklaces and pendants, as well as rings and watches for both sexes. Most of their jewelry is gold or platinum and designed to impress. They also have a reputation for standing behind their jewelry if it needs repaired or cleaned in the future. Marc Williams Goldsmith is another option. They offer distinctive, hand-crafted jewelry crafted by artist Marc Williams. Marc Williams also offers handmade pottery and glass items.

Artsy Jewelry, Scarves, and Purses
There are a number of lovely boutique stores on Market Street, but Dwellings, Retrah, and the Mercantile are three great places to start. Dwellings offers home furnishings, trendy jewelry and upscale clothing for women, Retrah offers unique gift items, fun jewelry and upscale clothing for men and women, and the Mercantile offers stylish items for the kitchen and home, as well as Vera Bradley purses and accessories. Relatively new to Market Street is Black Dog Jewelry, which offers custom jewelry and prides itself made-to-order rings, necklaces, and earrings.

Date Night Extraordinaire
For the ultimate date night experience, consider dinner at Elizabeth’s Bistro, a fine dining restaurant which offers a seasonal and ever-changing menu and many impressive wine options, followed by a movie at the beautifully restored Art Deco movie palace, the Campus Theatre. If you’re a member of the Campus Theatre, you can even reserve a couch in the back mezzanine just for the two of you! An added bonus – the restaurant and theatre are right across the street from one another!

Spa Gift Certificates
This is a great option for men and women alike! There are several spas in downtown Lewisburg including Bella Salon, Greek Isles and Advanced Skin Care, as well as half a dozen salons offering hair and nail services.

Time to shop!
Yes, Valentine’s Day can be daunting, but hopefully we’ve made your gift buying a little bit easier this year. As you can see, the challenge will be deciding what to purchase from the many options in downtown Lewisburg!
